What the Swiss bank account interest rate? I tried looking around the internet, and I am so far failed. So is anyone know the current interest rate for a Swiss bank account (savings)?
Interest rates depend on what the currency of your account is in.
Accounts in Swiss francs pay an interest rate is generally quite low and there is a deduction to boot. It's not very attractive and most people (outside Switzerland) have their Swiss bank account in a currency other than U.S. dollars, sterling or euros.
Swiss franc accounts not paying interest on a slightly different way. Your banker puts money into a special type of fund called the Money Market for you interest. There is a low cost (usually less than 1%) to invest the money in the fund, but there is absolutely no penalty and without notice when you withdraw money. The minimum requirement for entering most of these money market funds is only about $ 200. In Switzerland, it is the way to get interest on non-Swiss currencies.
