Born in Michigan in 1967, Kenny Martin instantly had an affinity for music and began playing piano at age four. At that time, Ken was inspired by the Beatles, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, and Todd Rundgren. At the age of seven years, Ken has become more serious about music and was inspired by Chick Corea. Gino Vanelli and George Duke. Ken's first concert came at the age of eighteen Montauk Yacht Club. He then attended Ithaca College where he studied music and broadcasting. At this time, Steely Dan became a great influence and he became more of a writer and singer. Ken has played in many groups and ended in Montreal where he recorded many albums, including his critically acclaimed CDs as we walk. After reading and recording in Montreal and Toronto, Ken is back in New York and ready to hit the big time with the memory of tomorrow.

I listen to this album while I'm driving. Recently, I noticed myself humming and singing the catchy lyrics and soothing melodies while he was sitting at my desk at work. This CD was natural for me and makes me feel good. Thank you Ken!

I love this album. Not only because I know the artist, but because it speaks in lyrical truths about the human spirit. The album starts with a rocking jazz influenced greeting "Welcome" sets the tone of a novel to pass the songs that follow. One of my favorites is "Have we not" that takes us on a journey into our past and memorable things that we have made good there. Listening to this song made me happy to be part of the human race and set a path to the future where we can do good things again and again. Enjoy a remarkable experience in the human condition.
