Checking Account LedgerPosted on February 9, 2010. Teenager with a checking account When should children have their first checking account? I am a big believer that children should have their account first verify if they are still living at home so they can have your supervision and guidance. I would say the junior or senior year of high school for a current account first. Yes, I know they are not 18 yet and can not obtain an account by themselves. As a parent, you must be on the account, which is for the better. Imagine what could go wrong if your children do not understand that the controls are not themselves the money. And if they do not really understand how expensive it is to open the account or why the book is so important to check? Believe it or not, these errors are very common. Children do not learn these things by watching you. All they see is giving you a check as its species, and they assume that your book is to check another one of those grumpy, but "non-essential" things that mothers do, like putting the cap on milk and straightening the towels on the drying rack. Teens need to know how to use debit cards and checks, they will be ready when they leave home. Here are some basic checks account to teach your children: What is a current account and how does it work? * How do you write much? First show, and then ask them to do while you watch. It will be like if you were going to do their homework with them when they were younger. For the first year, keep an eye on them and make sure they follow through the general ledger control. When things go well at first, they will probably lazy on balancing. Teens are impulsive and there are many temptations to buy there. CommentsThere are no comments.Leave a Comment | Newest My Friends |
