Support credit card? Just received the credit card statement. This is the first month, my husband and I received it as my father used to do instead (my credit card I used before my wedding, now cut into small pieces) .
For the last statement, we have sent two checks:
A check of my father wrote that he would pay for part
A check of my husband wrote for the part that we would pay
The amount included, we wrote that we have included the total amount that we had.
They did not cash his check.
In addition to this, the balance does not match what we can find.
He says we owe $ 1,500. We should have closer to $ 700.
I'm sick, I'm frustrated and I need some advice. We're going to call tomorrow, but I'm so tired of this. I went on the numbers 3 + times, and I get the same number. Even if I add the amount that we wrote the check, it still does not add up.
I work in a bank and see all the time. The easiest way for companies to make money is to see you. They convienantly (lose) the check and they say they never received. Go to your bank and make sure the company does not by ACH (electronic) and they have not cashed w / in 3-4 weeks to put a stop payment on the check. Sign up online w / company credit card and you can see a place full of activity and call date for the company and provide a total dollar amount. If you have 700 and 500 of them offer complete and most likely they will agree. Hope that helps a bit
call the 800 number on the declaration and request assistance on how they calculated the balance.
You wrote "they did not cash his check." Who? "Your father or your husband?" The first thing in the morning, your father or your husband calls his bank to see if his check cleared. If it was obtain copies of the front and back and send it to the credit card company with a letter and a copy of your return. If it is not clear, the bank stop payment on it and ask your father to write you another check for the same amount, or your husband to write another check if it was her who did not clear.
Do not let things like that you cheat! This type of problem is easily solved.
Another possibility could be that if you sent two checks in one envelope, the second check is usually not treated. 99% of banks / credit card companies to use automated machines, not humans to open their payments.
Also, have you been a review of statements received from your father before it? They could shed light on the difference between the balances.
And from what I understand, it does not really matter what is written on the memo part of check ("balance in full," "Paid in Full", etc.), the bank cash drop anyway. This is mainly due to what I said above: the payments are not processed by people.
