Education Savings FundWhat is the difference between a Growth Fund "and" Mid-Cap Growth Fund "?

I have a basic understanding between large, medium and small caps.

In simple terms what is the difference between a "Growth Fund" and "Mid-Cap Growth Fund" is also the risk aka sized company?

What would you recommend for an education fund (Coverdell Education Savings Account) for a newborn?

Thank you.

Growth funds can be anything. They tend to pick "style growth stocks." They can be in any category it depends on their charter.

I recommend a combination of the best mutual funds available in the plan.

To select the funds the most common, there are several places on the web, including but not limited to funds from Fidelity or peaks Morningstar. I am particularly fond of the Fidelity fund peaks that are not family Fidelity.

There are no official standards for the classification of such a fund and the Templeton Growth Fund and Fidelity Mid Cap Growth Fund are not easy to contrast their own titles. Mid Cap Growth funds tend to be more aggressive in their investment philosophy, focusing on lesser-known stocks. For an education fund long-term, diversified growth fund, is a popular choice. My personal opinion is that an index fund S & P 500 lower costs and generate better returns than most actively managed funds.
