Ny 529 CollegePosted on May 26, 2010. Background Checks unusual Temecula to Timbuktu Oxford doctorate. A longtime customer asked us to check a current employee who has been promoted to young and transferred to the company. This employee was required to update its vital information on an application form. On the form, she said she had a doctorate in international human resources of the University of Oxford - The Oxford United Kingdom. The employer said it was strange that she does not mention that when she applied for a $ 7 an hour job ad sales two years earlier. The client asked us to check. They fax over the info and I took a look at the application and within a few seconds, I knew that the complainant was lying. I called the customer and told them that I save the price of international supervision, "I know she is located." I said. "How can you say?" They ask. "Because that 'she said she attended Lady Margaret Hall (College) at Oxford and Margaret she said wrong. Any person who holds a doctorate from Oxford would not spell the name of the college wrong. Of course, we went through the motions and called Oxford and we found that LMH does not offer degrees in human resources. It took another college in Oxford to lie about. Think about it. She had already promoting, and she still lied. Nanny from Uganda This happened just recently. A woman from New York called and asked if we could do a record check on a man of Uganda that it intended to hire a nanny for her newborn child. I asked, "Why?" She asked me what I meant by that? I told him: "Why on earth would you hire someone from a place where there is no rule of law, where judicial scrutiny that I could get is not worth the paper it is written on where the person comes from a region of the world is the birthplace of AIDS. "What do you think?" I asked. I was polite. I really thought she was out of his mind. Now I know what I said was not politically correct, but it's the truth. She said: "Maybe you're right." I feel that I was touched first practical person she had spoken about it. I have asked for advice instead of avuncular criminal background check, but hey, I'm a nice guy. The Pool Digger A man in his local pool company has ordered a check to an employee he had hired and put to work digging swimming pools with a backhoe. At the time, our office has been in Temecula, California, and the new employee has been digging swimming pools in Palm Springs, which is about two hours away. It took a few days to get the hand of Utah records search where the employee had previously lived and to our surprise the employee was wanted for escaping from prison in a rural county in Utah. It was also a registered sex offender in Utah. It is important to note that what happened in 1995, before we were using the Internet. Everything was done by telephone and fax has been much slower. I called the customer immediately with the great news. Now, normally, we provide information and the customer must act accordingly. In this case, I offered him to understand what the customer has to do with this "dangerous" of employees. I asked an assistant to the mine if her husband, who was a Riverside County sheriff's deputy, could lead to Palm Springs and stop. We found that this does not work that way. They have to serve a term of court in Utah and could take days. I thought the member could obtain a credit "extra" or something to stop a bad guy wanted. I suppose I watch too much television. I called the office of District Attorney of this county in Utah, but there was no response to my call. I then called the sheriff's office that county and talked.
