Prepaid Currency Card

Prepaid Currency CardWhile traveling, which is the best passport, prepaid currency in cash or a Visa / MasterCard debit card?

I am traveling in the United Kingdom and the wonder that is the best way to get access to funds; passport card or visa cash debit / mastercard? Any experience / advice welcome.

I recommend a small amount of money before you leave (or at the airport before your departure) and your debit card. It is convenient to go ahead and have money if you do not have to worry about finding an ATM when you get there. ATMs there will give you the local currency and tend to have much better exchange rate. In addition, many of the largest U.S. banks have alliances with European banks (Bank of America is one) and abolish user fees on some ATM machines. However, be aware that some banks may require you to have a special PIN abroad. I recommend you check with your bank about fees / PIN and let them know if you're traveling, they will not put a fraud alert on your account. Here are some useful links.
