One of the difficult emotions to come to terms with bereavement. We mourn the loss of a family member or close friend, losing a job or at home. The loss of something important for us is a trigger pain. So imagine the pain and the emotions arising from this, women who experience hair loss. Scroll Women "magazine and you will find full page ads for hair products. Often, these ads feature pretty women with their long hair shining in the light. They are often women beside a handsome man or in an environment giving a luxurious feel to the reader, must have beautiful hair, to attract a partner or succeed in life. The loss of the initial discovery hair product can be a shock. We look at the son lost on their pillow or tangled in their brush or comb. Is it mine? It can not be! Disbelief and denial of their send verification and re-check the mirror to determine if it is true and actually happens to them. Many tears can be made that these women begin mourning their loss. It is not only their hair loss, they are grieving but for changes in their lives and their loss has created areas of their lives they consider to be changed. The mourning for the physical changes their bodies and appearance. Does my partner or husband find me attractive again? Some women can take to cover their heads with a hat or scarf in the vain hope that their problem will disappear or as a quick fix. Others withdraw from social activities to save their embarrassment or fear of ridicule. When women come to the realization of their problem will not be fixed one day they begin to seek a realistic response to their loss of hair. These could be looking for products or treatments available to them, either through a medical consultation. For those whose hair loss is permanent, many will come to accept their change in appearance and advance proudly baring their heads in the world.
