If you suspect that your financial information or personal information is disclosed to persons unknown, there is a risk of identity theft. You can prevent by requesting a security freeze on your credit file.

How to request such a freeze?

You can request a freeze at any time and perhaps for some reason. Such a request will not affect your credit score.

You must make a written request to each of the three credit bureaus. Preferably, you must send such a request by certified mail. While making such a request, you must send details to identify you - your name, previous names, your current address, your Social Security number and date of birth.
