Student Bank Account Uk

Hello, I am a British student who is here in the U.S. on placement in a summer camp. My bank account in the United Kingdom has developed a technical fault which means I can not use it and I am relying on cash from the United States at this time. But I want to know all the suggestions of the best things to do with my money, obviously, I prefer it as a kind of bank account or prepaid card - but I'm not sure what services are available to members International who are here temporarily.

I would expect the British bank ..... the problem would be solved in a few hours, days or weeks ...

I would like to buy a gift card and put money on the card, that way you do not have to carry money and access to support from Visa. Visa is accepted almost everywhere. The bank that I work at it does not matter if you're just traveling. and you do not have to be a customer to get one.
